Punjab government will provide financial assistance to NGO’s: MPA Kiran Dar

Lahore: Chairperson Punjab Social Services Board and Member Provincial Assembly Kiran Dar has said that Punjab government will not only patronage the NGOs working in different social fields but will also continue providing them financial assistance.

She stated this while addressing a cheque distribution ceremony among NGOs here today. The officers of Social Welfare Department and representatives of NGOs attended the ceremony. Chairperson Kiran Dar distributed cheques amounting to Rs. 3.45 Lakh, among 16 NGOs of Lahore Division including 4 of Lahore, 6 of Kasur and 6 of Sheikupura.

Kiran Dar said that these NGOs are working in the fields of health, education, environment and child labour in backward areas. She said that we will have to play our due role for the development of the country and rehabilitation of the poor people. She lauded the significant role of NGOs for the uplift of needy and oppressed segment of the society.
