No Muslim names in best research journals is lamentable: PU VC

Lahore: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has said that almost no Muslim names are found in the best research journals of the world which is lamentable. He was addressing faculty orientation program organized at Institute of Administrative Sciences here on Tuesday.

PU Dean Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences Prof Dr Ehsan Malik, Director IAS Prof Dr Nasira Jabeen and recently appointed lecturers and research officers were present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran advised the teachers to enhance reading habits in order to master their subjects. He said that the most important thing was commitment of teachers to their subjects and they should work hard to prepare good lectures.  He said that teachers must see how their subjects were developing.

Dr Ehsan Malik said that teachers should be committed to their subjects and should work for their conscious. He said that your research work would be your legacy and teachers must provide good human resource for the development of country. Dr Nasira Jabeen said that PU was the first university which launched regular training programs for capacity building of teachers. She thanked PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran for providing all-out support.
