Govt sends 800 millions tax notice to Minhaj ul Quran

Lahore: Federal govt has sent 80 crore Rs  tax notice to Minhaj ul Quran international. In a tax notice served to Minhaj ul Quran administration, FBR pleaded that the institution had received billions of Rs from the globe excluding Pakistan so as per the rules and regulation they are asked to deposit 80 crores Rs payment in lieu of tax.

Minhaj ul Quran administration has got immediate relief from the LHC on filing a petition for tax waver.Mr justice Abid Aziz Sheikh of Lahore High court has suspended the recovery notice and matter sent to the commissioner in land for taking review of the matter.

Minhaj ul Quran administration has of the view that due to the revolution march and sit in of PAT ,government sent this notice to increase pressure on Allama Dr Tahir ul Qadri.

On the other hand ,PML-N sources have said that Allama Dr Tahir ul Qadri is condemning the tax thieves on daily basis but his own institution is a defaulter of 80 crores of tax money.
