Bashir Bhola Bhala wins Jashan-e-Azadi Dangal

Bashir Bhola BhalaLahore: The Sports Board Punjab’s Independence Day sports competitions continued to attract large number of sports lovers throughout the Punjab province on Monday.

According to information made available here, known wrestler Bashir Bhola Bhala won the Jashan-e-Azadi Dangal comprehensively in Faisalabad. Other wrestlers M Shafiq Ali Gujjar, Kashif, Wiki, Manga, Mushtaq and Shakeel also defeated their receptive opponents in Jashan-e-Azadi Dangal.

A hockey match was organised in Bahawalpur where Tiger Hockey Club thrashed Satellite Town Hockey Club after a thrilling contest while the kabaddi clash was won by HSP against YZM.

Bahawalnagar hosted badminton contests of boys and girls. Amjad, Mala, Ijaz Ahmed, Awais Ali and Irum Shahzadi were declared the winners. Al-Quresh Football Club routed Madni Club in the semifinal of Inter-Club Football Tournament.

A cycle race was organized in Rahim Yar Khan which was won by Rashid. The title of Inter-Tehsil sack race went to Rashid Mehmood while Green XI clinched the kabaddi match. A kabaddi match was also played in tehsil Liaqatpur where Heera Club outclassed Abbasia Club.

Shalimar Cricket Club defeated City Club to win the Floodlit Cricket title in Jhang. The title of badminton was also grabbed by Shalimar Club. Chiniot Hockey Club beat Al-Fattah Club in hockey encounter splayed in Chiniot.

An Azadi Cup Boxing Tournament was organized in Toba Tek Singh in which Khan Muhammad, Fida Hussain, M Umar, M Kashif, M Nadeem, Ahmed Raza and M Tahir were adjudged triumphant against their respective opponents.

In Sialkot, Prince Football Club exhibited wonderful performance and scripted twin victories against Capital Club and RA Bazar Football Club. Red Club thrashed White Club in a hockey match played in Jhelum whereas the football match was won by Al-Jinnah Club against Chak Braham Club. Shahid, Hamza, Mubeen and Abdullah toppled their rivals in badminton matches.

Lucky 9 Club defeated Arfat Club and County Club in tape ball matches played in Attock while Huma Club beat Khan Club in football match. A football match was played in Sargodha in which Tiger Club outplayed Azad Club. Faheem, Noman, Fazal Abbas, Ahmed Imran, Zaeem Abbas and Bashir clinched the karate titles in Bhakkar. In Rawalpindi, Jamal Club downed Malal Club in a tug-of-war contest.
