Lahore:Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi have strongly condemned N-Leaguers firing and pelting of stones on Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf chief Imran Khan and peaceful long march participants and holding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif responsible said that nothing like this could happen without their direction.
The two leaders asked what sort of rulers were they who themselves were spreading lawlessness, such actions had exposed the real face of democracy of Sharif Brothers, what sort of democracy it was in which peaceful political opponents were targeted with firing, bricks, stones and batons. They appreciated Imran Khan, Dr Tahirul Qadri, and workers of Pakistan Muslim League, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf, Awami Tehrik and other parties participating in Azadi March and Inqilab March on remaining peaceful who despite all provocations demonstrated tolerance and patience and evaded confrontation.
Addressing the PML leaders and workers participating in the Inqilab March, Ch Parvez Elahi said that Sharif Brothers had not learnt any lesson from their such unconstitutional, illegal and undemocratic actions, they should not forget they could not block the way of the Long March by getting the leaders and workers of the peaceful march attacked nor they could prolong their near ending rule, their departure was written on the wall, the day was not far off when they would have to account for constitutionally and legally all their unconstitutional, illegal and undemocratic actions, killing the innocents and murderous attacks on them.
He said we all have come out not for confrontation and chaos but for getting rid of oppression of present rulers and for transforming Pakistan into such an Islamic welfare state, according to the ideals and objectives of the Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Iqbal, in which none could oppress the poor on the basis of force and wealth and the poor and common man also achieve progress and prosperity.
