Lahore: Pakistan’s 68th independence day celebrated with great enthusiasm at Allama Iqbal medical college in front of the college auditorium, which was decorated beautifully,Mayo Hospital,Nawaz Sharif Yaki Gate Hospital and Lahore General Hospital.
The ceremony was started with Talawat-e-Kalam-e-Pak and Naat sharif. After that Prof. Masood Rasheed, the acting principal AIMC/JHL, headed the flag hoisting ceremony, which was attended by the Medical superintendent Jinnah hospital, Dr. Abdul Rauf & many others.
After that all the participants recited the National Anthem.
The ceremony was attended by staff members, medical students, nursing students and para-medics.
Prof. Masood Rasheed addressed the audiences about the ideology of Pakistan. He beautifully narrated that how our elders struggled for the creation of this Pak land and now it is our duty to make the efforts for its strengthening.
Students sang the national songs and the ceremony ended with the Dua-e-Khair.
Principal Fatima Jinnah Medical College Prof. Dr. Sardar Fakhar Imam and faculty members hoisted national flag in the college. A large number of students attended the ceremony.
Moreover, MS Mayo Hospital Dr. Amjad Shahzad hoisted national flag in Mayo hospital and a function of national flag hoisting was held in Government Nawaz Sharif Hospital Yakki Gate. MS Dr. Shafqat cut the cake and presented national anthem on the occasion.
