Shahbaz Sharif tasked N-League terrorists to attack Ch Shujat Hussain: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that the civil dictators have announced civil war in the motherland out of panic over togetherness of Inqilab March and Azadi March, patriotic people should come out and foil their designs, “Shahbaz Sharif has directly tasked N-League ‘goondas’ and district officials for attacking Ch Shujat Hussain, Wajahat Hussain, me and other opponent politicians”, all roads going to Islamabad belong to all and all would march on them on August 14 and reach Islamabad.

He said this while addressing an emergency press conference along with Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Mohammad Basharat Raja and Ch Zaheeruddin Khan at his residence here today.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that after receiving confirmed reports he had written a letter to the IGP that on direct instructions of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, special meeting of N-League was held in the Nayyer Industries Gujrat which was also attended by Ch Mubashar Hussain, DCO Liaquat Chatha and DPO Rai Ejaz Ahmad. He said in this meeting MNA Abid Raza and Raza Matta, who were also present, were deputed for armed attacks on our residence Zahoor Elahi House, also when we go out and on our party processions and the two said officials would assist them in them regard. He said Abid Raza was the person from whose residence terrorists who had attacked army jawans doing exercise in Gujrat and martyred a professor of the Gujrat University but he had escaped because of backing of Shahbaz Sharif.

Distributing copies of the letter among the media people, he said the letter had also been sent to the Interior Secretary, Chief Secretary and Home Secretary Punjab that if this evil plan was carried out then Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, IG Police, RPO Gujranwala, DPO and DCO Gujrat would be responsible.

Ch Parvez Elahi drew the attention of the media people towards Provincial Minister Rana Mashhood’s statement published today wherein he had stated that they would along with lakhs of their workers would block the way of Imran Khan

and Tahirul Qadri. Ch Parvez Elahi pointedly stated that after turning the entire province into jail this statement was an open announcement of civil war, for foiling it instead of merely condemning it sitting in their house the people should come out on roads with us in large number so that problems of common and poor people were solved, employment was provided, industries run and everyone had protection of life and property.

In response to a question, Ch Parvez Elahi said “we are opposed to martial law but martial law and earthquake never come on asking anyone”, N-League was using all unconstitutional and illegal tactics to block our way.

He said that Imran Khan had welcomed the announcement of Dr Tahirul Qadri and other opposition parties were also expressing happiness over togetherness of Inqilab March and Azadi March. He said that N-League had announced a rally up to Press Club and asked what concern those had with the Press who had imposed restrictions on helicam and the press and prevented completion of our established Journalists Colony and turning it into ruins. He said N-League workers statements and the govt measures were a moment of thinking for the entire nation, Shahbaz Sharif has given orders for the civil war.
