A paintings exhibition is held at Art Gallery of Punjab Institute of Language

Parliamentary Secretary Rana Arshad-2Lahore: Parliamentary Secretary on Information, Culture and Youth Affairs Punjab, Rana Muhammad Arshad has said that independence functions are being celebrated with zeal and zest throughout the province. Programmes and exhibitions aimed at raising the spirit of patriotism are being held at arts council. He said that a paintings exhibition is being arranged for apprising young generation of the sacrifices of Pakistan movement and forefathers. In this connection, a paintings exhibition was held at Art Gallery of Punjab Institute of Language, Art & Culture in which 200 rare historical pictures regarding Pakistan Movement have been displayed. This exhibition will continue for ten days. He informed the media that DG Khan Arts Council has been constructed over 32.9 kanal. This auditorium having 473 seats has been constructed at a cost of more than Rs.11 crore. Various cultural and religious programmes are being held in the arts council, he added. A calligraphic exhibition, national songs and speech contests will be held from August 12 to 14, independence walk on August 18, functions of children on August 21 while functions of special children will be held on August 27. He informed that a seminar would be held on the topic of “stability of Pakistan and our role” at PILAC on August 12 which will be addressed by Prof. Muhammad Hanif Shahid and Dr. Muhammad Ayyaz Butt.
