Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow over the martyrdom of police officials due to violence of workers of Idara Minhaj-ul-Quran and said that he fully shares the grief of the bereaved families of the police personnel. He also assured that the blood of the martyrs will not go waste.
In a statement, the Chief Minister said that martyrdom of police personnel and brutal torture on them by the workers of the organization which claims to be a religious party is highly deplorable. He said that sympathies of the government and people of Punjab are with the families of the martyrs and the elements involved in the murders will not be able to escape justice.
