Sharif’s will not be in power on 1st September: Dr Allama Tahir ul Qadri

Photo CSH 01 {Aug06-14}Lahore: Neither Nawaz Sharif will remain the Prime Minister nor Shahbaz Sharif the Chief Minister by August 31, freedom comes only after the revolution, we guarantee observance of Youm-e-Shuhda peacefully.

These views were expressed by Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain, Pakistan Awami Tehrik chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen President Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Sunni Ittehad Council Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza while addressing a joint press conference at the residence of Ch Shujat Hussain here this afternoon.

On this occasion Ch Shujat Hussain said that he did not consider it appropriate to respond to N-League’s non-sense ministers, the outcome of the revolution would be for the betterment of the people, Pakistan was created through revolution and then it got freedom.

Welcoming Dr Tahirul Qadri, Raja Nasir Abbas, Sahibzada Hamid Raza and other leaders at his residence, Ch Shujat Hussain that the house was their own and they would also be gathering here in future, Insha-Allah.

Ch Shujat Hussain said there was uproar all around of democracy, some years back there was uproar of Islam as well, everyone was saying God-forbid Islam was in danger, with the blessings of Almighty Allah nothing had happened to Islam likewise no harm would come to democracy either. He asked whether the tenure was democratic era when the rulers’ hands were drenched in the blood of the people. Was this democracy that 14 innocent citizens blood was shed and FIR was not registered even after two months, people were selling their children for two time meals, families fed up with unemployment committing collective suicides? If the rulers call this democracy then he did not accept such democracy. He said that everyone was talking about revolution and freedom, this was a universal principle that freedom always comes only after revolution, the revolution comes and only then comes freedom, revolution was essential for getting freedom, we talk about the revolution that was not only for democracy but was essential for securing rights of the people, ending unemployment, safeguarding life and property of the people and top of it ours becoming a dignified nation.

Dr Tahirul Qadri said that Youm-e-Shuhda on August 10 would be observed to pay homage to martyrs of Model Town tragedy and martyred jawans of Zarb-e-Azb, sacrifices of Pak army would not go waste, we guarantee peaceful observance of Youm-e-Shuhda, if the govt stopped and harassed the caravans from coming then the govt would be responsible for any disturbance, some elements of dirty kitchen were making hectic efforts to end the govt, the role of Punjab Govt had become murderous, even after lapse of two months FIR of the bloodshed of shuhda had not been registered, nobody was hanged merely by registration of FIR, the champions of democracy should tell him whether this was democracy, forcing people to cast vote was not democracy, in western countries anyone injuring even a dog, cat was sent to jail but here human beings were mercilessly murdered and nobody questioned that. He said we do not want to roll down the Constitution and law but want these to be freed from the occupation of the rulers, the govt had caused immense loss to the public exchequer by issuing 90 SROs, the govt had taken over 38 national institutions despite the orders of the Supreme Court and thus violated the orders of the country’s apex court. He said several incidents like Model Town tragedy had also occurred previously like burning of 30 persons in fire in LDA Plaza, setting ablaze of metro bus record, 300 killings due to fake medicines in Punjab Institute of Cardiology and when the commission report turned out to be against a close man of the govt it was shelved. He said that the brother of a federal minister was given Rs 12 billion budget for provision of clean drinking water but who was getting this clean water, a child was losing life after every minute here, brother of Rana Mashood had been appointed Legal Advisor on Tourism at a monthly salary of Rs 10 lacs, was this not sheer wastage of public money, Federal and Punjab govts were based on bloodshed and violence. He said foreign countries had given the report to the FIA that Tahirul Qadri was not involved in money laundering of even one single rupee, this report had also been given to the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister, rulers should now resign on telling lie.

Dr Tahirul Qadri said there was no question of mid-term election, “we have come out for securing Roti, Kapra and Makan (bread, cloth and shelter) for the people”. In response to a question, he said N-League was trying to contact him for one month but he had refused to meet.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that the govt had abolished 20 per cent quota of the oil companies for August 11, 12 and 13 as a result of which the business community would suffer. He said in order to stop the motor cycle the govt had given target to each SHO that one lac motor cycles should be seized and dumped in the police stations, when these motor cycles would be returned after August 14 these would be without engine and wheel. He said we had made Punjab Police an institution but Shahbaz Sharif had destroyed it, senior police officers were now saying that they should be made OSDs, the rulers would put their oppression on the police, now people including children were saying that they had to undertake march to Islamabad.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said the govt had made the police its military wing, the rulers had not yet been able to martyrdom of Model Town tragedy, now the police had to determine whether it was police of Pakistan or of Shahbaz Sharif.

Sahibzada Hamid Raza said that sentiments of the people should not be provoked otherwise it would be difficult to control them.
