Lahore: Provincial Minister for Zakat & Usher, Malik Nadeem Kamran has said that anti-democratic forces are hatching conspiracies to weaken democratic government in Pakistan through the politics of protest and march on the behest of foreign powers. He said that no one has the right to undermine the solidarity of Pakistan.
He said this while addressing the Muslim League Workers Convention held at Circuit House Bahawalpur in connection with Independence Day celebrations. Provincial Parliamentary Secretary on Information Rana Muhammad Arshad Khan, Provincial President PML-N Youth Wing Mian Ghulam Hussain Shahid, assembly members, Mian Khadim Hussain Wattoo, Khalid Mehmood Jajja, Afzal Gul, Kazim Pirzada, Islam Aslam, Masood Alam, Samiullah Chaudhry, Haseena Begum, Fozia Ayub Qureshi, Aqeel Najam Hashmi and district and tehsil presidents of PML-N Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur and Rahimyar Khan were present on the occasion.
The Minister said that in the garb of sit-in, anti-democratic forces are trying to create law & order situation in the country which cannot be afforded under these circumstances. He said that Pakistan is our identity and the people want to work for its progress and solidarity. He said that various programmes have been chalked out to celebrate Independence Day throughout the province.
Malik Nadeem Kamran said that national flag will be hoisted at bar councils on August 09, traders function will be held on August 10, Minorities day on August 11 and women day on August 12 will be celebrated. Similarly, the Minister said that martyrs day will be celebrated on August 13 and the heirs of martyrs will lit candles and central functions will be held on August 14 throughout Pakistan. He said that students function will be held on August 18, labour wing on August 21 and functions will be held on August 23 under youth wing.
The Minister told that on August 30, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will invite the party workers to Lahore to reward three best function holder districts. He said that anti-democratic dual nationality holders are creating hindrances at the behest of their foreign masters but all their efforts will be foiled. He said that all problems can be resolved through dialogue and there is no reason to give call for long march on Independence Day.
Earlier, President Youth Wing PML-N and Provincial Minister Mian Ghulam Hussain Shahid said that participation of all schools of thought will be ensured in the Independence Day celebrations. He urged upon the people to work for the progress of the country. The function was also addressed by Parliamentary Sectary on Information Rana Muhammad Arshad and he thanked all the participants.
