We will not let alone the IDPs: Shahbaz Sharif

CM PUNJABLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif addressed the displaced families of North Waziristan in Bannu in a very enthusiastic manner after extending Eid greeting and distributing Eid gifts among the children. He paid rich tributes to the services and sacrifices of Pak Army officers and jawans in his speech.

Appreciating the spirit of displaced persons, the Chief Minister said that their migration will not go waste. On his arrival at IDPs camp, the Chief Minister was presented traditional turban by tribal notables. Shahbaz Sharif thanked them and addressed by wearing turban, ate meal and kept wearing turban throughout the function.

The Chief Minister while eating meal also talked with the children frankly and consoled them. This was the second tour of Shahbaz Sharif to Bannu within fourteen days for expressing solidarity with the displaced families.

The Chief Minister was to go to Bannu on Eid Day but due to inclement weather, he could not go to Bannu. However, on the next day of Eid, Shahbaz Sharif went to Bannu as per his promise for meeting displaced families and distributing Eid gifts. He spent many hours with the IDPs.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to construct two thousand houses, modern hospital, university and Daanish school in North Waziristan on behalf of Punjab government, upon which the participants clapped loudly and paid tributes on the steps announced by him.
