PTI wants to show its street power for political gains on the eve of 14th August: Kh Asif

Lahore: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said it is unfortunate that some political elements are trying to sabotage the operation Zarb-e-Azb and undermining the national interests just for their personal gains.

Talking to media in Sialkot on Tuesday Khawaja Asif said Pakistan Army is offering great scarifies for the defence of motherland and the entire nation is supporting it in efforts to rid the country of the menace of terrorism.

Khawaja Asif said that operation Zarb-e-Azb will continue till the complete elimination of terrorists from North Waziristan to maintain writ of government in the area. He said people will not allow such elements to sabotage the operation launched against the terrorists.

The Defense Minister said Independence Day will be celebrated with traditional fervour in every nook and corner of the country. He said government will not allow anybody to disrupt the Independence Day celebrations.

He said the parliament is the best forum for discussing national issues and bringing reforms but political elements were trying to show their street power for their political gains on the eve of Independence Day.
