Nation celebrating Eid under high security cover

Lahore: Nation is celebrating Eid with religious zeal,Prayers were offered for security, progress and prosperity of country.Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated throughout the country with religious fervour and zeal today.
Eid congregations were held at open places‚ mosques and Eidgahs in all major cities of the country.The Ulema in their sermons highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eid-ul-Fitr.As Eid is being celebrated in the backdrop of operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan and Israeli aggression in Gaza, special prayers were offered for well-being of the IDPs and security of Palestinian people.

In the Federal Capital, the main Eid congregation was held at the Faisal Mosque where parliamentarians‚ envoys of Muslim countries and top government officials offered Eid prayers along with thousands of people.

In Rawalpindi, big congregation was held at Liaqat Bagh where hundreds of people offered Eid prayers.
In Lahore, main congregation was held at Badshahi Mosque where Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar offered Eid prayers while Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif offered Eid prayers at Model Town in Lahore.Chief Justice of Pakistan justice Nasir ul Mulk offered Eid prayer at Gulkidah masjid ,Mangora.Former CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Ch offered Eid prayer in Quetta.
