Lahore: Health department has decided to launch a web based system for performance evaluation of District Health Manager and other staff . Authorities said that this step would not only reflect the individual performance of the officers but also improve the working of health facilities.
It was decided in a meeting chaired by adviser to CM Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique. Secretary Health Punjab Dr. Ijaz Munir, Director Health Dr. Zahid Pervaiz and the team of Technical Resource facility (TRF) attended the meeting.
The members of TFR team included Dr. Anwar Janjua, Ms. Pamela Sequera, Dr. Qamar Suleman and Dr. Huma Haider. The TRF team gave a detailed briefing about the system.
Kh. Salman Rafiq said that Punjab government is promoting e-government to improve the performance of the government departments. He said that the new system would not only be helpful in improving the working of the health facilities but also evaluate individual performance, coverage of EPI and ensuring correct data and other information. The system is built around identified Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for health managers and other staff at district level.
Kh. Salman Rafiq appreciated the efforts of TFR team and the health department for evolving the system and it was decided that the system will be used for district review meeting of EDOs Health.
