Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami,Liaqat Baloch, has said that the unity of the Muslim Ummah was the only answer to the challenges being faced by around one a half billion Muslims in the world today.
In his message on the Eidul Fitr, he said that the Muslims stood divided at present while the Muslim rulers were indifferent to the genocide of their Muslim brethren going on in Kashmir, Syria, Burma, Afghanistan, Iraq and Liaqat Baloch said that the unity of the Ummah would be a source of strength for all the Islamic sects and schools of thought. Therefore, he said, it was time to educate every Muslim man, woman and youth that the security and the future of the Ummah lies in its unity.
The JI leader noted that the JI’s financial and medical help for the Palestinians and the IDPs from North Waziristan was continuing with full public support. He said, the JI had arranged five thousand Eid gifts, Eid packages besides
luncheon for them at Bannu stadium.
