Lahore: A tri-partite meeting was held at the head office of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) to discuss different facets of new model of Foundation Assisted School (FAS) program on Friday.
The meeting was attended by PEF officials, FAS school partners in the districts of Lahore, Jhang, Chiniot, Sialkot, Kasur, Pakpattan, Okara and Sheikhupura besides representatives of NGOs working in the field of education in Punjab.
PEF Director (FAS) Nadeem Masood presided over the meeting.
The meeting discussed in detail the pilot project of launching new model of FAS which is designed to give free education to the deserving male and female children in their districts though private partner schools.
The participants observed that FAS, a flagship program of the foundation, is playing a key role in serving the deserving children by arranging free education for 1.3 million deserving male and female students through private school partners.
