Shahbaz Sharif notice protests against loadshedding

Shahbaz SharifLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the protest of the citizens against unscheduled load-shedding in Batapur Lahore and some areas of Multan and immediately contacted Federal Secretary Water and Power Nargis Sethi to discuss measures to cope with the situation.

Talking to Federal Secretary Water and Power, the Chief Minister said that immediate steps be taken to resolve the problems of the people. Federal Secretary Water and Power assured the Chief Minister that the situation will soon be brought under control.

Meanwhile,Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is passing through a critical phase and there is no room for negative politics. He said that Pak army is fighting for the survival of the country and it is not the time to spread anarchy but to promote unity and harmony. He said that some elements are trying to create hurdles in the process of national development and uplift through the so-called “march” but no such activity can hamper the journey of 18 crore people of the country towards progress and prosperity.

He was talking to Member National Assembly Jaffar Khan Leghari who met him, here today. Matters of mutual interest, political issues and development projects were discussed on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that the transparency, high standard and speed are the hallmark of development projects of Punjab government and every penny of public money is being spent on the welfare and betterment of the masses. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government is providing all out help and assistance to the displaced people of North Waziristan and relief items worth crore of rupees have so far been sent to Bannnu for IDPs. Similarly, he said, a sum of more than 18 crore rupees has been distributed among the displaced families as help and assistance to the distress people is a collective religious and national obligation.
