Lahore: In order to probe into the allegations leveled by parents of a minor named Azan, who died in the Children Emergency Ward of Lahore General Hospital the other day allegedly due to the negligence of staff, the Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and LGH Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra has constituted a 3 member committee headed by Professor Najam Ul Hassan. The other two members of the committee are Associate Professor Dr. Israr ul Haq Toor and Principal Medical Officer Dr. Balqees Tahir.
In this regard, Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra told media that no doctor from Children Emergency Ward has been included in the probe committee to ensure the process transparent and impartial. He said that the committee has been asked to report its findings within three days after completing its investigation. He said that in the light of the report, if some staff is found to be responsible for the death of the minor, he or she will be taken to the task according to the law.
