Lahore: Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Information & Culture, Rana Muhammad Arshad has said that Punjab government has started provision of financial assistance to IDPs of North Waziristan and in this connection, seven thousand rupees per family are being given and this process will be completed very soon.
He said that two crore 30 lakh and 45 thousand rupees have been distributed among 3275 families so far. He said that 200 sewing machines have been dispatched for vocational training school North Waziristan for training of displaced women.
Rana Muhammad Arshad said that 2000 tents, 10800 flour bags of 10kg, 6000 rice bags of 20kg and 60 ton dates have already been dispatched while 500 ton fodder is regularly sent for the animals of IDPs.
Rana Muhammad Arshad said that people of Punjab and the government are standing side by side with IDPs of North Waziristan and there will be no shortage of resources for their assistance and rehabilitation. He said that Punjab government will continue to provide relief to every displaced person till complete rehabilitation and end of war against terrorism. He said that people and philanthropists are donating crores of rupees in Chief Minister’s Relief Fund set up for the assistance of displaced sisters and brothers.
