Provincial ministers visit Ramzan Bazar through out the province

Minister HousingLahore: On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, provincial ministers paid surprise visits to Ramazan Bazaars and reviewed the arrangements as well as availability, quality and prices of edible items in Ramazan bazaars.

Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr. Farrukh Javed paid surprise visit to Ramazan bazaars in Shadman, Wahdat Road and Nadeem Shaheed Road in Lahore and inquired from the citizens about the arrangements. Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Minister said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, 1250 magistrates are taking action against the hoarders and profiteers and a fine of more than Rs. 2.25 crore has been imposed, besides 1570 FIRs have been registered and 1620 shopkeepers arrested.

Provincial Minister for Minerals Chaudhary Sher Ali paid surprise visits to Ramazan bazaars in Sambrial, Sialkot and Daska and checked prices and quality of essential items at the stalls. The Minister informed that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, DCOs and DPOs visit the markets of all the districts and got fix the prices of neMalik Saleem Iqbalcessary items under their supervision.

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Livestock and Dairy Development Arshad Jatt visited Ramazan bazaars in district Muzaffargarh and Layyah and checked the stalls.

Provincial Minister for Housing and Works Malik Tanveer Aslam Awan visited Ramazan bazaars in Chakwal, Kalar Kahar, Jhelum and Gujrat. He directed the administration to remain present in bazaars till Maghrab prayers.

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Malik Saleem Iqbal visited different Ramazan bazaars in Lahore and inspected stalls of edible items.

Provincial Minister for Food, Bilal Yasin  inspectied Ramazan Bazar district Lodhran. DCO Nasir Jamal Hotiana, Administrative Officers, traders and representatives of media were also present on the occasion.Minister Agriculture

The Minister said that 10kg flour bag is being provided for Rs.310, one kilo sugar for Rs.45 while ghee at Rs.10 less per kg, eggs Rs.12 less per dozen than market are being provided in all Ramazan Bazars. He said that Punjab Chief Minister, Chief Secretary Punjab, provincial ministers, public representatives and administrative machinery are engaged in providing best facilities to the people in Ramzan Bazars and performance reports are daily reaching the Chief Minister in this regard.

While inspecting the Ramzan Bazar, the Minister checked the quality, weight and prices of flour besides inspecting counter and medical camp. He also checked the weight and measures on the stalls. The Minister said that monitoring of Ramzan Bazars will continue till end of Ramzan and every person will have to play his active role in this regard.
