Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Chief Siraj-ul-Haq has said that the “political barhamins” are holding the entire nation hostage for last 66 years. He expressed these views while addressing an “Awami Iftar Party, organized by JI District South at Kakri Ground, Lyari.
Speaking at the occasion, Siraj-ul-Haq said that JI message was to close with God, so that the country can get progress in all field of life. He said that the courts of Pakistan do not follow the Islamic Constitution, adding that the merit is being ignored in the country. “Shariat and Islamic laws were not being imposed even a single day in the country since its independence”, he added.
He further said that the Pakistan since its independence was facing threat from its own rulers and leaders, adding that the political and economic terrorism is being continued in Lyari. He demanded of the government to send back the IDPs back to their native towns and arrange transport for them, as the security forces claimed 80per cent clearance of the affected areas.
Siraj-ul-Haq termed the Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (PPO), “a black law” and stated that this law was totally an unjustified and unlawful. He said that the JI has already challenged the PPO in Supreme Court and hoped that the apex court will consider the plea of JI in this regard.
JI Chief also appealed the leaders of different political and religious parties to come forward and play their due role in opposing Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (PPO).He further appealed the Muslim Ummah to stand with the people of Palestine against the aggression of Isreal.
On the occasion, Siraj-ul-Haq informed that the Jamaat-e-Islami will initiate countrywide campaign for bringing Islamic revolution in the country.
JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem said that the western powers were hatching conspiracy to create unrest in Muslim countries, adding that the silence of United Nations and Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) over the barbarism of Isreal on Gaza was a big question mark.
