Government constitutes a five-member special search committee for appointing VCs

Lahore: A spokesman of Education Department Punjab has said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has granted approval to the criteria of appointment on vacant posts of vice chancellors in various universities.

He told that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, a five-member special search committee has been constituted for the appointment of suitable eligible persons at vacant posts of vice chancellors in different universities of the province which will perform its duty according to the laid down procedure.

The spokesman further said that the committee will also select suitable candidates for appointment of vice chancellors for three women universities. He said that the vacant posts of vice chancellors are being advertised in next few days.
