Former President Rafiq Tarar gives a cheque to CM Punjab for IDP’s

former president Rafique Tarra is presenting cheque to CM for IDPsLahore: Former President Rafiq Tarar, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr. Farrukh Javed and Member Provincial Assembly Sheikh Allauddin met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here today and presented cheques for a total amount of Rs.42 lakh for the help and assistance of displaced persons of North Waziristan.

Talking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that Pak Army is fighting for survival of the country and the whole nation is united against terrorism. He said that government and people of Punjab are standing by their displaced brethren and sisters at this difficult time.

The Chief Minister said that an amount of Rs. forty million has so far been distributed among more than 5300 displaced families of North Waziristan on behalf of Punjab government and the process of payments to IDPs will be completed within next few days. He said that 20 trucks of fodders have been sent to Bannu for the livestock of IDPs while more trucks will also be sent. He said that the people of North Waziristan who have displaced as a result of war against terrorism are passing through the most difficult phase of their life and are waiting for help. He said that affluent persons should come forward for the help and assistance of their displaced brethren and sisters for fulfilling their national and religious obligation.

The Chief Minister said that every penny of donations will be spent on IDPs in a transparent manner.
