Lahore: Member National Assembly from Dera Ghazi Khan, Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
Measures taken by the government for the development and prosperity of South Punjab were discussed in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that a sum of Rs.119 billion has been allocated in the new budget for the development projects in South Punjab which is 36 percent of the total development budget of the province. He said that a new era of progress and development will usher in South Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that foundation stone of metro bus project will also be laid in Multan soon which will result in provision of speedy, safe and economical transport facilities to the citizens. He said that Pakistan is making rapid progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and 18 crore people of the country do not want such a long march which create hurdles in the process of development. He said that instead of a long march which creates chaos in the country, such a long march is required as ensures national progress and prosperity.
Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari appreciated the measures taken by Chief Minister Punjab for the speedy progress of the province.
