Shahbaz Sharif distributes cash and food stuff among IDPs

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was given a warm welcome at Brigade Headquarters Bannu today.

General Officer Commanding Maj. Gen. Akhtar Rao and other army officers received the Chief Minister Punjab at the Brigade Headquarters situated at historical Bannu Fort.

The GOC while giving a briefing regarding relief and rehabilitation operation of displaced persons of North Waziristan said that he welcomes Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on behalf of Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, and officers and Jawans of Pak Army.

He lauded the services of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab government for the displaced persons.

The Chief Minister was also taken to the site of Qila, where Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had addressed the tribal people in 1948 and appreciated their love for Pakistan.

The Chief Minster later in his address to the tribal people also referred to this speech of Quaid-e-Azam.
