Government has miserably failed to deliver : Siraj ul Haq

Lahore:  Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that the oppressed mothers, sisters and daughters of Palestine were looking forward for another Muhammad Bin Qasim.

He was addressing a huge rally organized by the JI, Lahore  at G.T. road, Manawan in connection with the countrywide protest against the escalation of Israel’s bombings in Gaza.

The JI chief said that there was great responsibility on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in this regard.  As the elected leader of 180 Pakistanis, and leader of a respectable and a nuclear state, Nawaz Sharif should openly support the just cause of the Palestinians and also strive to unite the Muslim world on this issue.

He said that the US was fully patronizing Israel ,therefore, it was imperative that the Muslim rulers joined hands to save the Palestinians from the aggression and brutalities of Israel.

Siraj ul Haq said that the Palestinians men, women and children were falling victim to Israel bombings. Hundreds of them had been killed and their habitations had been destroyed

while Israel was giving them warning to vacate Gaza. It was time for Pakistan and the Muslim rulers to step forward and take bold decisions in support of the Palestinians.

Later, talking to the media, Siraj ul Haq said that the government had miserably failed to deliver and the hardships of the masses had increased in the recent months, due to which the resentment against the ruler was on the rise. However, he said that the JI did not want an end of the present government as it believed that the next elections would be a public verdict about the rulers.

JI Lahore chief Mian Maqsood Ahmed and JI Information Secretary Amirul Azeem were also present.
