Lahore: On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif provincial minister paid surprise visits to Ramazan Bazars in various cities and expressed their satisfaction over the availability of edibles, quality and rates.
Minister for Food Bilal Yaseen visited Ramazan Bazars in Peoples Colony and Shahinabad, Gujranwala and checked rates, quality and availability of edibles there. Later, he also visited Ramazan Bazars in Sheikhupura.
Talking to the mediamen on the occasion, the Minister said that setting up of Ramazan Bazars is the personal vision of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Punjab Minister for Labour Ashfaq Sarwar visited Ramazan Bazars in D-type Colony Samundari Road, Samanaad and model bazaar Jhang Road in Faisalabad.
Speaking to mediamen on the occasion Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that no compromise will be made on the quality of edibles and in this regard implementation on Food Safety & Price Control Act is being ensured. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has given Ramazan Package of Rs.5 billion under which the poor people are being provided flour, sugar and other eatables on cheaper rates.
Provincial Minister for Zakat & Usher Malik Nadeem Kamran visited Ramazan Bazars in Sahiwal and Multan. He said that providing relief to the masses is top priority of Punjab government and in this connection all out resources are being utilized. He urged upon the people to get their complaints registered so that immediate action could be taken against the violators.
Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheeduddin visited Ramazan Bazars at Zahoor Elahi Stadium and Shah Jehangir Road in Gujrat. She inspected various stalls and checked rates and quality of fruits, vegetables and meat.
Special Assistant to CM Salim Iqbal visited Shadman Ramazan Bazars Lahore and inquired about the prices and quality of essential items from the people.
