Dr Majeed Nizami becomes seriously ill

Lahore: Dr Majeed Nizami has admitted in Punjab Institute of Cardiology due to cardiac arrest. He was supposed to go to US in first week of June 2014 for changing of pacemaker of his heart but US authorities did not grant him permission to visit America even for treatment purpose.

The 90 years old Editor Dr Majeed Nizami initially refused to visit US embassy for visa as he could not afford a long drive but later he agreed to present before visa officer as Punjab government was kind enough to him by providing CM’s special chopper for his travelling to Islamabad.

Although there was apparently no reason for visa refusal as Dr Majeed Nizami never tended to live permanently in US and he also belongs to one of the most rich families of Pakistan so he could not be a liability for US government for treatment.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister visited Punjab Institute of Cardiology and inquired after Editor daily Nawa-e-Waqt Dr. Majid Nizami. He also presented him a bouquet. Shahbaz Sharif prayed for the early recovery of Dr. Majid Nizami
