Punjab budget is a people-friendly budget : Tanveer Aslam Awan

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Housing, Communication & Works Malik Tanveer Aslam Awan ,Provincial Minister for Education, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has termed the new budget as people-friendly and said that presentation of excellent budget in the difficult situation is an achievement of PML-N government. He said that proposal of allocating five billion rupees for provision of Saaf Pani is best decision which will help resolve long standing problems like provision of potable water to citizens. The Minister said that the country will enter into new era of development with the allocation of Rs. 137.93 billion for communication & works sector. He said that the decision of allocation of four billion rupees for health insurance cards to provide free treatment facilities to low income people is a proof of people-friendly budget.

Provincial Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique has said that giving one lakh more laptops to talented girl and boy students and allocation of Rs. 48 crore for foreign study tours of students reflect that Punjab government is making all out efforts to acknowledge the capabilities of young generation abroad. He further said that 16 percent increase in police budget for the elimination of terrorism and setting up of modern force of 1500 equipped with latest weapons will yield far-reaching results. He said that this budget is a people-friendly budget in the real sense as every segment of the society will benefit from it.
