Lahore: Chairman of the All Pakistan Transport Owner Federation Azam Khan Niazi has said that the Government transport was not taking transporters into confidence before making transport police.
While addressing the media here at Lahore Press Club Azam Khan Niazi said, ban of buses in Murree was not acceptable as it would be a economical murder of thousands of people engaged in this business .
At the occasion,he announced that all the life members of the LPC would be provided free of cost transport service and council members would be charged fifty percent fare for any destination.
Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari, Member, Governing Body Qamar Bhatti, Imran Sheikh, Rashid and Imtiaz Rashid welcomed the decision of Azam Khan Niazi and said the decision reflected that how the transporters were friendly towards the journalist community.
Arshad Ansari said that today is a happy day because the first time Transport Association announced the facility for the journalists.
