Saifullah Khan Nyazee has condemned Punjab government for targeting PTI workers

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Additional Secretary General Saifullah Khan Nyazee has condemned Punjab government for targeting PTI workers in PP-107, Hafizabad and termed their nomination in politically-motivated cases, a typical and traditional pattern of terrifying political opponents. He said that PMLN’s defeat is becoming indigestible for its leaders who refuse to subscribe to the will of the voters who chose Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and rejected the policies of Punjab government on May 29.

“ The People of Punjab have started realizing the ineptness of the PMLN government’s policies, in Punjab and the Centre and the election in PP-107 is not less than an indictment of the rulers” he said adding that the historic win of PTI is the vivid expression of people’s trust in PTI and its manifesto.

He also said that any act of political persecution by PML-N’s provincial government would not deter PTI and its workers and they would continue their struggle against the tyranny. He further stated that the rising popularity of PTI and increasing recognition for its comprehensive policies undermine the absurd empire of so-called good governance and development fabricated by PMLN.

The victory achieved by PTI workers in PP-107, according to him was not easy since PTI had to face blatant interruption by provincial government, PMLN legislators and its workers who not only tried to cast fake ballot papers, destroy electoral material and steal votes but also tried to terrify the electoral staff for which ECP had to issue notices to PML-N MPs Irfan Dogar and Fayyaz Awan.

He also informed that the ruling party’s armed workers shot PTI worker -Rai Haq Nawaz- who barely escaped death and had been suffering from critical injuries. “None of the culprits have so far been detained by the police” he stated adding that the police and local administration blindly follow the whims of the rulers instead of ensuring the commencement of their business under the law.

He called upon the police to refute illegal instructions by the rulers, insisted upon the release of innocent PTI workers and immediate withdrawal of false cases against them. He demanded the arrest of PML-N shooters involved in attacking Rai Haq Nawaz too.

“We also look forward to ECP to complete its hearing and take stern action against PML-N legislators who chose to violate laws and continue with their wicked scheme of winning through stealing or rigging the polls,” he concluded.
