Zulfiqar Cheema gives road safety tips to the students of UCP

Lahore: Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said Parents and teachers should play their role in training of new generation and show right direction to them. New generation has deliberately pushed back to uncertainty and depression and it is necessary to bring them out of this inferiority complex.

He was addressing teachers and students of the University of Central Punjab, Lahore. Pro-Rector University of Central Punjab Dr. Zafarullah, Dean of Social Faculty Dr. Fehmida Sultan, SSP Motorway Police Athar Waheed, Professor Tahir Ashfaq and a large number of students were present at the occasion.

Zulfiqar Cheema said that Media should move in right direction and should promote our own values instead of spreading western culture. No prestigious county can allow its media to spread foreign culture.

Inspector General Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema during his address imparted useful road safety tips to the students. He said that it is imperative upon the students to respect their parents, teachers and obey the law of the country.

IG further said that the students should love their country and abhor corruption. IG advised them to fasten seat belt, not to listen mobile phone and don’t cross speed limit while driving on the road.

IG Zulfiqar Ahamd Cheema further said that our doctors are best professionals in the world and this fact is acknowledged by many countries of the world. He further said

IG said to the students that Quide-i-Azam expected a lot from the youth and he used to say that my youth will protect my country. IG told that he met many students in Europe who revealed that they have made a solemn pledge with the shrine of Quide-i-Azam that they will return to their country after getting higher education and spend all their capabilities for the progress of their country.

The University of Central Punjab Pro- Rector Dr Zafar Ullah said only few leaders have left positive impact on the history of nations and Quide-i-Azam is one of them. He further said the brave and strong personnel IG Zulfiqar Cheema who believe in rule of law provision of justice are guiding lamp for us.

The students of UCP enchanted the slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ with full zeal. The IG also asked questions about Road Safety and distributed gifts among the students for right answers.
