Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan accused Punjab police of demanding bribe from Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak and his ministers on Friday.He said that CM Khattak and ministers identified themselves but the police officers refused to believe saying why would a Chief Minister travel without security protocol.
Imran Khan said in his accusation that Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak along with three fellow ministers was traveling from Lahore to Islamabad without protocol when Punjab police extorted them.PTI Chief reiterated that the police could not believe that a Chief Minister can travel without protocol.
Khan said that over 40 thousand police officers are deployed on VIPs’ security in Punjab but no police officer does VIP duty in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
