Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif reached Lahore today after a long journey from China. Immediately after arriving in the city, the Chief Minister presided over two meetings.
In the first meeting, the Chief Minister met Country Director of World Bank and Head of British Institution for International Development (DFID) and other officials.
Senior officials of World Bank and DFID appreciated the Chief Minister for participating in the meeting without taking any rest after a long journey to Lahore from China and said that it reflected his passion of public service. Provincial Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed on behalf of provincial cabinet and people of congratulated the Chief Minister on the agreement of metro train project with China signed in Shangai and said that metro train project is an excellent gift of the Chief Minister to the people.
On this occasion, Head of DFID Richard Montgomery and Country Director World Bank Rashid Bin Masood and all the participants of the meeting paid tributes to Chief Minister Punjab. Later, the Chief Minister presided another meeting and performed his official responsibilities till late at night.
