Rulers are snatching employment from every sector: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Q senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that during our tenure we had provided employment maximum number of people in every sector but present rulers were snatching.

WASA employees should not consider themselves alone, PML was with them in their difficult time, voice would be raised in support of their demand both inside and outside the assembly, he said this while addressing hundreds of WASA employees who were protesting in favour of their demands outside his residence here today.

Continuing Ch Parvez Elahi said that we had always made plans to provide employment to the people and during our tenure lakhs of unemployed people were provided jobs and WASA employees were also regularized.

WASA Union Chairman Rana Maqsood, Vice-Chairman Rana Nawaz and President Rana Iqbal thanked Ch Parvez Elahi for supporting their demands and said that his tenure was a golden era for govt employees which was ample proof of his love for every worker.

They said that he (Ch Parvez Elahi) had also confirmed 1395 Work Charge men of WASA. They warned Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif that if he did not withdraw his decision in 24 hours then all tube-wells and sewerage of Lahore will be closed, the Chief Minister was not “Khadam-e-A’ala” but “Zaalim-e-A’ala”.

WASA was being handed over to Mansha Group company to render its employees jobless which amounted to economic murder of hundreds of employees, the govt was not rendering 7000 employees jobless but trying to snatch loaf of bread from the mouths of 70 thousand people, they added.
