Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that Punjab government is taking every possible step for the protection of minorities’ rights and looking after their worship places.
He said this in a meeting with an 8-member delegation of Sikh Yatris, led by President Parbandh Committee Amritsar Sardar Autar Singh.Member Punjab Assembly Sardar Rumesh Singh Arora and officers of concerned departments were present on the occasion.
The members of the delegation included Sardar Rajinder Paul Singh, Sardar Nirmal Singh, Mohan Singh, Satbir Singh, Rajindar Singh, Andar Iqbal Singh and Santa Singh. The delegation will go to Nankana Sahib and Hassan Abdal.
Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that Punjab government has provided the facility of expressway from Amritsar to Nankana Sahib to the Sikh Yatris.
The delegation thanked Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for providing best facilities to Sikh Yatirs. Sardar Autar Singh told that Parbandkh Committee Amritsar enjoys a key role in Sikh religion throughout the world. He also presented Raja Ashfaq Sarwar sacred chadar and model of golden temple.
