Police claim to arrest 8 more terrorists from the city

Lahore: CCPO Lahore Ch Shafique Ahmad Gujjar claimed to arrest 8 more terrorists from the city who had planned to kill number of eminent personalities of the town.Police have recovered illicit weapons, hand grenades and jackets used for suicide attacks.

While addressing a press conference here at police lines Qila Gujjar Singh ,CCPO said that CIA police arrested the  accused Shafique Shah, Traffic warden Muhammad Azam ,Saqib Anjum,Ubaid Ullah,alias Baidi,Muhammad Aftab,Qari Mushataq , Hafiz Azeem and Qari Asif Mehmood who had planned to kill number of VIP’s including Khateeb Badshi Masjid Molana Khabeer Azad,Editor the Nation Saleem Bukhari,nephew of Senator Mushahid Hussain , Fahad Hussain ,owner of city 42 channel Mohsin Naqvi, columnist Hasan Nisar,MD PTV Muhammad Malik,former MNA Begum Abida Hussain,Allama Tahir Mehmood Ashrfi, Dr Khadim Hussain Dhilon,former advocate general Ashtar Osaf,former LHC judge and the father of PML-N MPA Uzma Bukhari,Zahid Hussain Bukhari,Usman Qasmi,Qari Saeed,Pir Haroon Gilani,Tayyaba Khanum Bukhari,Alhaaj Haider Ali Mirza,Waqar ul Husnain Naqvi,Mushtaq Hussain Jafri,Jawad Naqvi,Shakir Naqvi,Toqir Hussain Baba,Baber Shah,Farhan,Hasan Askri,civil judge Ashtar Abbas,Incharge musafarkhana mayo Hospital Muhammad Yonas,Boby Dogar,Sher Miandad Qawal,Asma Jhangir and 39 other people.

CCPO said the accused confessed that they wanted to attack at national anthem ceremony at Punjab University and 2 suicider were sent for blast but they could not attack due to change of schedule.
