MD APP Khalid Sarwar and mother of Tahir Zaman passed away

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has condoled the death of Khalid Sarwar, Managing Director, Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of mother of Tahir Zaman, former captain and coach of national hockey team.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

Khalid Sarwar was an honest and upright officer.He was highly educated and had passed M. A. (Educational Administration) from University of Ottawa, Canada ,M. A. (History) and M. A. (Political Science) from University of the Punjab.

Meanwhile, Akhtar Rasool Chaudhary, President PHF and Rana Mujahid Ali, Secretary General on their personal behalf and on behalf of PHF have expressed their deep condolences on the sad demise of mother of Olympian Tahir Zaman, who passed away in Gojra on 12^th May 2014 and pray that Allah Almighty may rest the departed soul in His Infinite Mercy.

They also prayed fortitude for the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Aameen. Her Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered at Government M.C. High School hockey ground after ASAR prayer
