Protesting at Mall Road will be dealt with an iron hand:Rana Sana

Rana Sana Ullah addressing press conference at Punjab AssemblyLahore: Punjab government has warned political parties protesting unduly by becoming a tool in the hands of anti-democracy elements that they should ensure implementation of security measures of the government during their protest as there will be no permission of keeping arms or their display. There is no permission to protest at any other place except the fixed place. Those protesting at Mall Road will be dealt with an iron hand.

Addressing a press conference at Punjab Assembly here today, Provincial Minister for Local Government & Law Rana Sanaullah Khan said that Imran Khan while adopting the role of “negative Khan” is making hue and cry of rigging.

Rana Sanaullah demanded Imran Khan to present proof of his allegations. He said that Imran Khan has violated Article 225 of the constitution as he went Supreme Court regarding rigging instead of Election Tribunal. He said that Supreme Court has also directed him to move to Election Tribunal.

Rana Sanaullah Khan said that due to government measures GDP is increasing in Pakistan and all economic indicators are reflecting a picture of stable Pakistan. He said that anti-democratic forces have activated to create political instability in the country. He further said that these forces have given a leading role to Imran Khan while Imran Khan is becoming their tool.

Rana Sanaullah further said that according to the facts and figures there was a total number of 445 provincial and national constituencies in Punjab. A total of 165 petitions were filed regarding election complaints out of which, 15 petitions are of Tehrik-e-Insaaf.

He said that Tehrik-e-Insaaf nominated a total of 424 candidates for election including 136 for National Assembly and 288 for Provincial Assembly. Out of these, only 15 candidates filed petitions while the remaining 409 candidates did not file petitions. Similarly, position of PTI was so poor that he did not compete PML-N as well as other parties.

Rana Sanaullah Khan said that Imran Khan neither accepts constitution nor believes in law, Election Tribunal, judiciary and administration. He is making only hue and cry of rigging in elections but not providing any proof or logic in this regard.

Rana Sanaullah said that the protest of opposition will flop badly as it is futile effort to stop the journey of national development.
