A journalist being thrashed on World Press Freedom Day at Khawaja Asif office

Lahore: When the whole world was busy to celebrate the press freedom day,the minister for water and power was busy fixing up a journalist in his home town,Sialkot. It is said that a local journalist Tanveer Ahmad dared to question to the federal minister Khawaja Asif about the use of sub-standard materiel in the building of govt Khawaja Muhammad Safdar medical college.This question made Khawaja Asif furious and started to call name the poor journalist and then  he ordered his security staff to taught him a lesson.The armed personnel not only beaten up the journalist but also threatened him to involve in fake cases.

Tanveer Ahmad has submitted an application for registering a case against the federal minister Khawaja Asif,Saim and other to DPO Sialkot Gohar Nafees and the concerned Cantt police station.FIR was not lodged till filling of these lines.Journalist community has condemned the brutal act  the federal minister.
