Lahore: Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health, Kh. Salman Rafique has said that state of the art hospital constructed by brotherly country Turkey is a great gift to the people of Punjab by people of Turkey. He said that inauguration of this hospital is expected in the last week of June, 2014.
He said this while presiding over a meeting at Civil Secretariat to review the arrangements for the inauguration of TIKA hospital, constructed by Turkish government in Muzafargarh, here on Friday.
Besides, Chairman Planning & Development Department Irfan Elahi, Secretary Health Dr. Ijaz Munir, Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab (Implementation) Imdad Ullah Bosal, Secretary I&C Saqib Zafar, Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan, Additional Secretary Health (Development) Ghulam Farid, Additional Secretary (Finance) Muhammad Usman, DG Protocol Asjad Ghani, Members of the Trust Mian Ehsan, Shahid Sheikh and other officers attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that TIKA Hospital is a best model of state of the art hospital where all the latest treatment facilities would be provided. This hospital would have a team of highly qualified doctors / specialists besides, a team of Turkish doctors will also be available in the hospital for taking care of the patients. The meeting was informed that residential facilities would also be provided to the doctors, nurses and other staff working in the hospital for which furnishing of the houses is in process.
The meeting discussed different matters / issues regarding the inauguration of the hospital. Kh. Salman Rafique informed that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has given 21st June as final date for completion of arrangements for inauguration. Kh. Salman Rafique directed that all arrangements / finishing work should be completed by June 20.
He said that a briefing regarding the inauguration of TIKA hospital would be arranged for the Chief Minister on Monday or Tuesday after his return from London and he would announce the final date of inauguration of the hospital.
