PTI flays government for torturing missing person’s relatives

Lahore:  PTI President Punjab Ejaz Ahmed Chauhry said that the government had shown its true face by allowing the police to use batons and violence in handling the protest against missing persons in Islamabad.

He said that the prime minister who use to go and sit in the camp of this missing people when he was in the opposition and now after coming into the government they are now mistreating and mishandling innocent people who are asking for their rights.

He said that this is the u-turn and the heartless mindset of these leaders who are expert in only one thing which is lying and deceiving the common man. He said that today baton charge on the protesting people is violation of all democratic norms where protest is a routine part of raising their voice.

PTI General Secretary Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that staging baton on women and peace loving protesting people is not even done in autocratic rules. Thus this government has shown a mentality of the arrogant leaders who use to beat anybody who protests against them.

She demanded that the government should immediately release all these people and send them an apology for this torturous mishandling of the missing people protest. She said that if these people are not released PTI would definitely stand by them and ensure that justice takes place.
