PML-N government gives great respect to overseas Pakistanis:Governor Punjab

Lahore: Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar  said that for the first time in the history of the country, any government has made sincere efforts for resolving the problems of expatriates Pakistanis upon which, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif deserve congratulations.

While addressing first Overseas Pakistani Convention ,he said that Chief Minister has laid the solid foundation by announcing establishment of Overseas Pakistani Commission for redressal of their problems.

Representatives of Overseas Pakistanis while addressing the convention have highly appreciated the steps taken by PML-N Central and Provincial government.

President American Kashmir Forum and prominent Pakistani Shaheen Butt said that he is thankful to Punjab government led by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif which took practical steps for resolving problems of overseas Pakistanis and invited him in the convention.

He said that Overseas Pakistanis had come to convey their complaints to the government but the steps already taken by Punjab government including setting up Overseas Pakistanis Commission and helpline have ended their complaints. He said that Shahbaz Sharif has fulfilled the promise of One Window Operation made by him with Overseas Pakistanis during his stay in America.

Shaheen Butt said it was the habit of Mian Shahbaz Sharif that during his stay in America, what good thing he sees in America, wants to launch in Pakistan. He said that overseas Pakistanis have come to Pakistan due to love with the country and Shahbaz Sharif. He said, no doubt, government steps are more than our expectations.

Representative of Gulf countries Ch. Muhammad Shafi said that Shahbaz Sharif has written a new history by arranging a gathering of Overseas Pakistanis here. He said that previous governments never thought about the welfare of those earning huge foreign exchange for the country. He said that the Chief Minister Punjab has won their hearts by setting up Overseas Pakistanis Commission.

Barrister Amjad from UK offered full cooperation to Punjab government on behalf of overseas Pakistanis for one window operation. He said that appointment of Ch. Muhammad Sarwar as Governor Punjab is a proof of the fact that PML-N government gives great respect to overseas Pakistanis.

On the other hand,the delegation of Overseas Pakistanis participating in the first Overseas Pakistanis Convention Punjab travelled by metro bus today and appreciated the metro bus project of Punjab government.

Expressing their views on the occasion, members of the delegation said that metro bus project was need of the hour which was completed by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. They said that they were very much impressed by metro bus project and the rapid progress of the province.

Earlier Minister for Prisons Mian Waheed welcomed the delegation of Overseas Pakistanis at Metro Bus Depot, Nishtar Colony whereas DCO Lahore received the delegation at District Kutchery Station.
