My father was the best papa in the world;Late DIG Mirza Shakil’s daughter speaks to the condolence reference

Lahore: Honest earning, competence and hard work were basic features of DIG Mirza Shakil Ahamd (late) character and these three qualities are rarely found in one single personality.  DIG Mirza Shakil Ahmad was an important pillar of our team and his untimely death is irreparable loss to police force said Inspector General National Highways & Motorways Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema while paying homage to late DIG Mirza Shakil Ahmad in  a Condolence Reference held at N-5 Central Zonal Office, Lahore.

The event was attended by CCPO Lahore Ch. Shafiq Ahmad, DIG A.D Khawaja, Mirza Adrees Baig (father of late DIG Mirza Shakil Baig), Saleem Butt (Father in law of late DIG), SSP Tariq Nawaz Malik, SSP Mirza Faran Baig, SSP Usman Gondal, SP Athar Waheed and a large number of officers/officials of Motorway 

Police.

IG Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema while addressing the participants of Condolence Reference said that the death of DIG Mirza Shakil Ahmad was a great loss to Police Service of Pakistan especially Motorway Police. He was an important member of our team and we have definitely been deprived of a precious asset. It is personal loss to me and it could not be made up, said IG.

The IG further said that the personality of DIG Mirza Shakil was an embodiment of many qualities and he was really a hardworking police officer. The late DIG resolved some pending issues of the department which were somehow remained neglected for a long period of time and this fact speaks volumes of his professionalism said IG Motorway Police.

Mirza Adrees Baig, the father of late DIG Mirza Shakil, said tha the late DIG used to work more than his capacity and was very kind person who was never seen getting angry. He further said that his death has not only affected his family but also left all his loved ones in deep sorrow.

Wafa, the daughter of late DIG, said that his father loved his job and was a kind father. She further said that ‘IG Uncle’ has took a lot care of their family after the death of his father and really condoled them in this testing time.

CCPO Lahore Ch. Shafiq said on this occasion that he has never seen such a professional, good looking and capable officer during whole of his service. He further said that the late DIG was also a good father, good husband and ideal human being.

DIG South Zone, A.D Khawaja said that the sad atmosphere at Condolence Reference reflects that he was a loving and able man.

SSP Mirza Faran Baig said that the late DIG possessed an enviable personality and he used to seek his guidance in many matters. His untimely death is a great loss to us, SSP further said.

SSP Usman Gondal, SP Athar Waheed and other officers of Motorway Police also paid rich tribute to deceased DIG.

At the end of the event a special prayer was made for the salvation of the soul of late DIG Mirza Shakil Ahmad and IG presented souvenir to the father of late DIG.
