Cop to general,all are restless due to govt policies: Ch Shujaat Hussain

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said one failed to understand that the present govt has got such a big mandate then what apprehensions and fears it has that, it was committing mistakes after mistakes. He said that it was all right if new mistakes were committed but results of old mistakes would be the same which had already occurred. 

Ch Shujat Hussain said it has always been seen that confrontation starts between the people and the govt, but regretfully this time it started with the armed forces of Pakistan. Restlessness prevailed among the forces  from  sepoy,  haveldar to a general because their former commander was being called a traitor, sometime biggest institution of the army, ISI, chief photo was presented for seven hours as an accused, what service was being rendered to the nation and the country in this manner? he concluded with a question.

Talking to a delegation of PML delegation which called on him at his residence here, Ch Shujat Hussain said according to the present Pulse Report of the army, 90 per cent of people from the jawan to the general were of the opinion that whatever was being done to defame their institution was all wrong. He said that it was for the Prime Minister to improve the matters and should not become party, freedom of expression do not mean that by giving an opinion enemies should be provided an opportunity to launch hostile negative propaganda against solidarity and security of the country.
