Consider the motherland as our own home;IG Zulfiqar Cheema asks the youth

Lahore: Inspector General of NH&MP Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema asked the youth to come out of inferiority complex and love the country. While addressing teachers and students of University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore , Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said that the differences between our youth and the youth living abroad is that they consider their motherland as their own home. We should also treat our country as our home. We have to clean its filth and repair its crakes. 

The event was attended by Dean of Civil Faculty Dr. Abdul Sattar Shakir, SSP Athar Waheed and large number of students and teachers.

Inspector General Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema during his address said that many countries of the world were facing more severe problems than us but their nation overcome them with courage and insight. We are moving in the right direction and will soon resolve our problems ‘Insha Allah’ said I.G.

The IG said that we should ensure the rule of law in every department of life which will guarantee our progress and prosperity. He asked the students to respect the law and come out of inferiority complex. He further advised them to adopt the rules of road safety in order to minimize the accidents.

IG said Quid-i-Azam expected a lot from the youth and he used to say that my youth will protect my country.  IG told that he met many students in Europe who revealed that they have made a solemn pledge with the shrine of Quid-i-Azam that they will return to their country after getting higher education and spend all their capabilities for the progress of their country.

IG Zulfiqar Cheema while emphasizing on the importance of education said that knowledge is our legacy and we were on zenith of glory up till the time we were in search of it and as soon as we kept ourselves away from it, we were thrown in perdition to infamy. He further said that Pakistan will always live and shine. The students of UET enchanted the slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ with full zeal.

The IG also asked questions about Road Safety and distributed gifts among the students for right answers. The Dean of Civil Faculty also presented souvenir to IG Zulfiqar  Ahamd Cheema.
