Lahore: The services of Pakistan Team’s bowling coach Muhammad Akram have been placed at the disposal of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore where he will start work as Head Coach with immediate effect.
The decision was made by PCB management in consultation with Muhammad Akram in order to strengthen grass roots cricket through additional training camps and procedures for upcoming youngsters. Muhammad Akram brings with him international experience which will help strengthen the NCA systems.
Muhammad Akram will also work as a member of the National Selection Committee and in future, if required, may also tour with Pakistan teams as bowling coach.
His transfer is part of the restructuring plans of coaches and support staff currently underway with a view to optimising the resources at hand. Muhammad Akram’s input and expertises in overseeing camps at various levels in Pakistan will be of immense help to our evolving cricket structure.
