No dearth of talent in Pakistan: DG Sports Board Punjab Usman Anwar

Lahore The success of Punjab International Sports Festival (PISF) Phase I has proved that there is no dearth of talent in Pakistan and our youth is quite determined for the Phase II, this was stated by Director General Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Usman Anwar in a meeting especially convened to review the performance of PISF Phase 1 here on Thursday at National Hockey Stadium.

The DG SBP expressed his satisfaction over the performance of Sports Board Punjab officials. “I’m proud of my team which organized the world’s largest festival in a befitting manner,” he said and added that many countries are contacting us for the next phase of PISF which is quite positive sign for our country.

The meeting reviewed all the arrangements and other areas critically. All the participants shared their ideas for the smooth conducting of PISF Phase II.

Usman further told that over 55 countries are expected to feature in the second phase of Punjab International Sports Festival. “Such a big of festival will be helpful for our youth in many ways. A large number of talented youth has been spotted through youth festival and it was one of our prime objectives which we have achieved,” he elaborated. Usman Anwar said that the spotted potential youth will exploit their talent at international level and win laurels for their country in future.
