Young parliamentarians visit Dongfang Electric Corporation

Lahore: A delegation of young parliamentarians led by Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif visited Dongfang Electric Corporation in Saichuan province of China and met its Vice President Hanzua Kyo.

Lakhra Power Project and other projects being completed in Pakistan by Dongfang Electric Corporation were discussed on the occasion.

Hamza Shayhbaz Sharif informed the officials of Dongfang Electric Company that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has declared Diamir Bhasha Dam project as most important among his priorities and directed in a recent meeting to take all possible steps for launching this project at the earliest.

Shahbaz Sharif assured the Vice President of Dongfang Electric Corporation that all out assistance would be provided at the government level to all its future projects in Pakistan. He also invited Han Zhiqao to visit Pakistan before the inauguration of Nandipur Power Project so that prospects of useful investment in new projects in Pakistan with the cooperation of China could be considered.

The Vice President of Dongfang Electric Corporation Han Zhiqao appreciated the policies of Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and said that the present government immediately after coming into power started making sincere efforts for resolving energy crisis. He said that due to special attention of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Nandipur Power Project will be inaugurated in May and will start production.

This project will be completed in December. It may be mentioned that a 15-member delegation of young Pakistani assembly members is currently visiting China at the invitation of the ruling Communist party.
